Novelty wide cuffs are basically a cautionary tale: the fine surface detail stamps flat after a few wears, the openwork frame bends out of shape if you grip it while putting it on, and the plating disappears fastest at exactly the raised edges where all the detail lives — leaving you with a blurry, tarnished band that looks nothing like what you ordered.
We built the Shoal to keep every fish sharp, forever. Each sculpture is precision-cast from solid hypoallergenic Premium Stainless Steel — not hollow, not pressed, not going to dent when it bumps a door frame. The openwork frame uses structural cross-bracing between fish rows that maintains the cuff’s circular geometry even after repeated flexing open to put it on. The detail stays crisp because there’s actual metal behind it.
The entire cuff is then finished with our ultra-thick 18K Gold PVD process — applied at double the industry standard depth and bonded directly to the steel so it can’t peel at the raised edges. The result is a finish that stays waterproof, sweat-proof, and tarnish-free through every swim, every shower, and every candlelit dinner. The fish stay golden. The detail stays sharp.
